Introduction

These pages will be the home of the fonts I created. It is very time consuming to create fonts, so don't be in a hurry.

The buttons to the left will take you to a specific page. The "Afr." button will take you to the Afrikaans equivalent of your current page at the time.

These fonts are free for personal, non-commercial use only. If these fonts are redistributed, please give me credit, and provide a link to my webpage. Please don't distribute them without the read-me file, or offer it on a CD for commercial purposes.

If you should be interested in the Mac version of any of these fonts, drop me an e-mail and I'll send it on to you.

NEWS

2 April '03: The first month in the new home has passed. It all went off so smoothly. A big thanx again to GetMeHosted. You guys ROCK! And March was not the month for the promised alphabet font. Nope, another dingbat again. *G* I'm told it's hip to be square, but go see for yourself if you agree.

3 March '03: Sniff! Our little site is growing up so fast! For the second month in a row the bandwidth allocation ran out before the end of the month. I had to decide whether I was going to brave it for another month, or finally cave in and get my own domain. The latter option won. My nerves have been frazzled, watching the bandwidth counter creep up. Bet it's like watching the clock ticking, waiting for a teenager to come home after a date! LOL

Anyway, I'm maintaining the bilingual nature of the site. The Afrikaans part will still be hosted by virafrikaans, but I've moved the English part of the site across to the new home. If anybody experiences any problems, please let me know. We all know that a period of transition doesn't go off without any glitsches.

But a fonter can't take such a momentous step without celebrating in some manner, eh? My celebration font is SLBookArts, another dingbat. Yes, I will make an alphabet font again, I promise. I'm just not saying when....

20 February '03: Happy Birthday to you, sulucasfonts! Yup, it's been a full year and to celebrate I've added SLDividers to the Dingbats page.

1 February '03: I must apologise to people that came to visit towards the end of January. On 24 January my site was suspended, because I had exceeded my allocated traffic limit for the month.I suppose I could think that I've "arrived" now? *G* But 100MB isn't much, and I'm working on alternatives to prevent this from happening again.

1 January '03: The first dingbat for the year, to wish everybody a happy and prosperous 2003. Maybe this year I'll be more prolific, but don't hold your breath. *G*

16 December '02: The latest dingbat is a collaboration between myelf and Bella Morte. She made the glyphs, I turned them into a font. It is called Junari Claws.

1 December '02: I have just added SL Zodiac Stencils to the Dingbats page. Gosh, less than a month after the last new font!

7 November '02: My friends have tried all the tricks in the book to get me to upload a new font. Begging, pleading, hints and even downright blackmail! LOL But life is always too hectic, there is always something else that needs attention first. However, the news that my first cyber-godchild was born today was enough to inspire me to take this one off the shelf and give it a bit of a dusting. SL Squiggles has been uploaded to the Dingbats page.

21 July '02: High time I add a new font, eh? SL Mythological Silhouettes has been added to the Dingbats page.

21 June '02: SL Safety has been added to the Dingbats page. My small effort to try and make our children more safety-conscious.

31 May '02: I had a hard disc crash last weekend, and didn't manage to upload a font. I was without a computer for several days. I uploaded SL Sign Language, because I thought about the millions of people for whom the struggle to communicate can not be solved as easily as replacing a hard disc.

16 May '02: Winter has arrived with a vengeance. We might even get some snow this year. As we can't ever have a white Christmas, I've decided to add SL Christmas Silhouettes to the Dingbats page right now, and we can pretend it is Christmas. It sure is cold enough! *G*

10 May '02: Tomorrow is Mother's Day. What better font to add than "SL Kid's Alphabet". It might not be beautiful to anybody but me as the mother of the artists, but go and see for yourself. It is there on the Dingbats page. *G*

27 April '02: Today is Freedom Day here in South Africa, the ideal day for the relaunch of Barbarello. Originally released in May 2001, at the 'Lab. Now available here on the Fonts page..

20 April '02: SL Woodcut Faeries has been added to the Dingbat page.

12 April '02: A brand new font: BoereTudor, a font for the ProGothics project.

5 April '02: I've uploaded an example of a dingfont for those of you who are wondering what the difference between a dingbat and a dingfont is.

30 March '02: A long weekend means I have more time to work on this webpage and on fonts! Back to the Futurex has been added to the Fonts page.

28 March '02: SL Star of David.ttf added to the Dingbats page, just in time for Pesach.

10 March '02: Latest addition: SL Wash.ttf on the Dingbats page.
