Dingbats are fonts that contain images or symbols instead of alphabet characters. One can't use these fonts to write text, they're usually ornamental in nature. Click on the images to download the fonts.

SL Square Ornaments

Square ornaments, or ornamental squares? Either way, here's 25 of them on the lower case keys. And a few rectangular ones on the numerals, just for fun.

SL BookArts

Here it is: the first font at the new domain. A while ago somebody on one of the mailing lists I belong to, asked for a font with book images. This font contains a variety of those. Images of books, bookbinding, printing, and a few beautiful "ex libris" ones. Even a couple of cartoon characters as well. Have fun using it. 26 lowercase characters.

SL Dividers

I just had to add a font on the first anniversary. Can't believe it's been a full year already since the first font went up for download. Not nearly as fancy as other dividers elsewhere, I know, but there was a deadline on this one! *G*

SL Zodiac Icons

A new font for a new year. Gosh, but 2002 went by quickly. Tempus fugit!

Junari Claws

This font is a team effort between myself and Bella Morte. She drew the glyphs, I fonted them. The contents of the zipfile will also put a different slant on things. *G*

SL Zodiac Stencils

12 characters in this font. They are in chronological order on the lowercase keys.

SL Squiggles

A silly little doodle font to welcome a special little girl into the world. The uppercase characters are the mirror images of the lowercase letters.

SL Mythological Silhouettes

You'll find al kinds of mythological creatures here. Unicorns, Pegasus, dragons, mermaids and many more. Whatever takes your fancy!

SL Safety

Something that is very close to my heart, is the safety of our children. Here in South Africa that is especially relevant. This font is intended as pictures for the little ones to colour, to make them more aware of their personal safety.

SL Christmas Sillhouettes

This font was made for the purpose of making Christmas cards. We made the paper for the cards ourselves. These glyphs were printed on to white paper and glued to the fronts of the cards. Added some glitter and a few lines with a gold pen, and voila!

SL Kid's Alphabet

My kids drew the pictures I used for the glyphs here. In some places one has to stretch the imagination to see the association between the picture and the character, but they are very proud to see their own artwork in this format.*G*

SL Woodcut Faeries

One of my personal favourites. These figures are so delicate! This font has 14 characters, lowercase only.

SL Star of David

I made this font on request of Jami at Typesource, when that site still existed. He mentioned that there are a lot of fonts with Christmas- and Christian symbols, but not a lot of fonts with a Jewish theme. I decided on the Star of David. Who knows, maybe there will be a dreidl-font here at some time in the future. *G*

SL Wash

This is the very first font I ever made. These are the symbols one finds on the tags in clothing that represent the fabric care instructions. The included text file contains an explanation of what each symbol means.

A big thank you to Apostrophe who held my hand every step of the way.
